The Certification of Estate, managed by FCC, is an important tool to serve the demand of the current market; based in a Code of Behavior, it comprises aspects of: Good Agricultural Practices, Social Responsibility, and Responsibility with the Environment supported in mechanisms of Traceability.

What makes the FCC Certification different are the following points:

•  It is a specific Program for the coffee producers of the Demarcated Region of Cerrado Mineiro

•  It possesses educational and inclusion characteristics, since the implementation of the system of verification which is made up of 4 different stages.  Each stage is 1 Star, allowing the certification to go from 1 Star to 4 Stars. This allows the producer to learn and gradually adapt and improve.  This also makes it possible for the small producers can participate.

•  It has a very clear focus in relation to the attainment of high quality of the green coffee, that, in its turn, will serve of base for excellent cups of coffee;

• There is a system called GIS - Geographic Information System, it visualizes the certified estates by satellite, as well as it incorporates a great amount of information of each part of the coffee (part of the soil where the coffee is planted);

• Third party Companies give the services of Consultant and Audit, thus guaranteeing the accurateness of the Café do Cerrado System.
